FAQ - Can costume jewelry tarnish?

Our product range goes from 925 sterling silver, gold plated, rose gold plated to alloyed copper (fashion jewellery)

Basically, jewelry should be worn while sleeping, showering, swimming, doing sports, etc. always be removed.
It is also advisable not to keep the jewelery in the bathroom. Genuine jewelery (925 silver, etc.) can be cleaned with the help of a silver bath or cleaning cloth if it is dirty or tarnished.

This does not apply to costume jewellery . If the top layer - the alloy - wears away here, it unfortunately does not come back. What basically helps with fashion jewelry is to coat the parts / elements with clear nail polish before wearing them. This forms a protective layer on the alloy.

When elements, balls, clasps or pieces of costume jewelry change depends on many factors such as pH value, handling, sweating intensity, etc. Experience has shown that the range is from 2-3 we wear 6 months and more until the top alloy changes.
Basically, we recommend going for stainless steel or stainless steel gold-plated, as this surface is many times more resistant.
